Biography
Dr. Stella Trompet PhD, is an assistant professor at the department of Internal Medicine, section of Gerontology and Geriatrics of the Leiden University Medical Center, Leiden, the Netherlands. She is the Project Manager of the CoClarity trial to test the impact of implementation of the CoClarity shared decision support tool (SDST) on bleeding events and symptoms related to TE events in patients with cancer in their last phase of life.
She is the main investigator of the PHArmacogenomic Study of Statins in the Elderly at risk for vascular disease (PHASE) which was funded by the seventh framework program of the European Commission (no223004). Dr. Trompet is also a key collaborator in the CHARGE (Cohorts for Heart and Aging Research in Genomic Epidemiology) consortium. She has published over 300 international scientific papers in highly esteemed journals as Nature Genetics, Circulation, and the European Heart Journal. These achievements are due to her close collaborations with national and international research groups since these collaborations provide me with the knowledge, expertise, and the appropriate infrastructure to perform her research projects with this demonstrated success.
