Stefan H Hohnloser, MD, is Professor of Medicine and Cardiology at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany, where he is the Head of the Department of Electrophysiology. His primary research interests are related to sudden cardiac death and its prevention by device therapy, as well as treatment of supraventricular and ventricular arrhythmias by pharmacological and non-pharmacological means. He has co-authored more than 250 publications in peer-reviewed journals, 450 abstracts, and numerous book chapters.
