Biography

Dr Sean Gallagher is an interventional cardiologist based in Cardiff, United Kingdom. He currently serves as the Director of Interventional Cardiology at the University Hospital of Wales. Dr Gallagher has trained and worked in both the UK and internationally and is recognised for his expertise in advanced coronary intervention.

 

Academic History

Dr Gallagher completed his interventional cardiology training at The London Chest Hospital, where he developed advanced skills in coronary intervention. He subsequently undertook an overseas fellowship at the Ottawa Heart Institute in Canada, focusing on complex coronary procedures and interventional techniques.

Following completion of his specialist training, he was appointed as a consultant cardiologist in 2014. Alongside his clinical training, Dr Gallagher has been actively involved in academic research and has contributed to peer-reviewed publications in the field of interventional cardiology, particularly relating to complex coronary disease.
