Sandeep Basavarajaiah

Dr Sandeep Basavarajaiah is a highly skilled consultant cardiologist who has a wealth of experience in managing a wide range of heart conditions, including arrhythmias, coronary artery disease, hypertension, congenital heart disease, and interventional cardiology.

He has a special interest in sports cardiology and heart failure, having provided expert care to athletes and patients with complex heart conditions.

Over the course of his career, Dr Basavarajaiah has performed over 2,000 percutaneous coronary interventions and has supervised more than 600 cases involving specialist registrars.

Dr Basavarajaiah's training journey began with his medical degree in India, after which he became a member of the Royal College of Physicians. He received advanced training at renowned institutions such as Papworth Hospital in Cambridge and San Raffaelle Hospital in Milan, where he worked under the guidance of Professor Antonio Colombo, a world-leading interventional cardiologist.

His expertise in coronary intervention is well-recognised, and his comprehensive approach includes detailed cardiovascular assessments using ECG and echocardiogram, having evaluated over 3,000 athletes.
