Michele started her career as a clinical geriatric pharmacist in long term care. Since joining the pharmaceutical industry 20 years ago, she has worked in areas including: drug information, medical affairs, clinical research, real world evidence, and outcomes research. At Sumitomo, she leads the healtheconomic and real world outcomes research for marketed and pipeline oncology products globally and domestically.
She has authored over 40 publications on work and productivity, patient and physician perspectives on medication preference and satisfaction; prescribing patterns; patient journey and social media; cost-effectiveness, budget-impact, and predictive models. Additionally, she has been invited to speak to healthcare providers on prostate cancer and cardiovascular risk factors; endometriosis treatment; multiple sclerosis and fatigue, pulmonary arterial hypertension overview; cost savings measures; Medicaid/Medicare, and healthcare systems.
Currently, Michele is working on several research projects including prostate cancer and cardiovascular risk factors; OPTYX registry; and oncology pipeline products.
