Michael Mahmoudi

Following graduation from the Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine and junior doctor training in London, Dr Mahmoudi completed his cardiology training at the Wessex Deanery. He then spent two years as an interventional cardiology fellow in Washington DC, before returning to the UK first as an NIHR clinical lecturer in Cambridge and then as a senior lecturer at the University of Surrey. In 2016, Dr Mahmoudi joined the cardiology team at Southampton and was awarded a personal chair at the University of Southampton in 2024.
