Liew Houng Bang

Datuk Dr Liew Houng Bang is a prominent Consultant and the Head of the Department at Hospital Queen Elizabeth II, Kota Kinabalu. He also leads the hospital's Clinical Research Centre, where he champions high-quality clinical trials in interventional heart care and heart failure. His clinical expertise extends to complex coronary interventions and the application of digital health and AI in his field. Dr Liew is a key figure in the Malaysian research community, actively contributing to numerous multi-centre international trials to improve patient outcomes in Sabah and beyond.
