Kalpa De Silva

Dr De Silva is a consultant interventional cardiologist, at St. Thomas’ Hospital and Honorary Senior Lecturer at King's College London. Dr De Silva’s clinical focus is on undertaking complex, high-risk PCI, with a particular interest in education, and methods of refining and improving quality and procedural efficiency in PCI practice. He remains dedicated to adopting and utilising new technology to improve procedural safety and patient outcomes. 

Dr De Silva’s research interests revolve around the use of coronary physiology and intra-coronary imaging guidance to improve revascularization procedures, and the physiology underpinning mechanical circulatory support assisted PCI.
