Joseph Mills

Joseph Mills is a Consultant Cardiologist at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, where he also serves as the Medical Director for Advanced Life Support. He specialises in both general and interventional cardiology, with clinical expertise spanning primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI), and complex arrhythmia management, including atrial fibrillation. Dr Mills serves as the UK National CVD Prevention Coordinator for the British Cardiovascular Society and the European Society of Cardiology. He is a prominent clinical researcher, acting as the National Principal Investigator for the SMARTVIEW trial investigating wearable technology for post-cardiac surgery monitoring. His academic work is widely published in high-impact journals, focusing heavily on innovative care pathways and cardiometabolic risk.
