Jack C Lewin, MD, is Chief Executive Officer of the American College of Cardiology. Prior to this he served as Chief Executive Officer of the California Medical Association and its various subsidiary companies. Dr Lewin was also Hawaii’s Director of Health from 1986 to 1994. In addition, he was a Founder and First Director of the Navajo Nation Department of Health. Trained in internal medicine, Dr Lewin has enjoyed many years of practicing primary care medicine during his career in Arizona, Hawaii, and California. He received his BA in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Irvine, and his MD from the University of Southern California.
