Biography

Dr Hyukjin Park is an Associate Professor of Cardiology at Chonnam National University Hwasun Hospital, where he also serves as the Director of the Echocardiography Lab and Division Chief of Cardiovascular Medicine. He leads the Cardio-Oncology Clinic and has a significant role in the Regional Cardiocerebrovascular Center Network. With a rich educational background, Dr Park obtained his Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral degrees from Chonnam National University School of Medicine, where he has been extensively trained in cardiology. His clinical and academic expertise focuses on cardio-oncology, heart failure, and pericardial diseases, with a strong emphasis on echocardiography and pulmonary hypertension.

Dr Park's career includes leadership in numerous national committees, such as the Korean Society of Echocardiography and the Korean Working Group on Cardio-Oncology. He has received multiple awards, including the Hwasun Biomedical Workshop Young Investigator Award and Best Article in the Korean Journal of Internal Medicine. His research contributions have been significant, with multiple publications in prominent journals on topics like chemotherapy-induced cardiotoxicity and cardiac dysfunction in cancer patients. As an active member of various international societies, including the American College of Cardiology and the European Society of Cardiology, Dr Park continues to advance his field through both clinical practice and research.
