Hug Cuéllar-Calàbria is a staff member at the Hospital Vall d’Hebron in Barcelona, Spain, a 1,400-bed university hospital. He is a specialist in cardiovascular computed tomography (CT) and has performed cardiac CT on a daily basis since 2004. He is a member of the Spanish Thematic Network of research in Cardiovascular Disease (RECAVA) and the European Society of Cardiac Radiology (ESCR). He instructs practical CT seminaries at the School of Medicine, and is a regular teacher of clinical nuclear cardiology and advances in cardiac imaging courses, held yearly at the Hospital Vall d’Hebron. He is writing a thesis on cardiac single-photon emission CT (SPECT)–CT fusion. Dr Cuéllar-Calàbria trained as a radiologist at the Hospital Vall d’Hebron.
