Anette Arbjerg Højen

Anette Højen, RN, MScN, PhD, is Senior Researcher at the Danish Center for Health Services Research (Aalborg, Denmark). She specializes in the psychosocial aspects of venous thromboembolism (VTE) and the post-thrombotic period, with a focus on mental well-being, patient-reported outcomes, follow-up care, and rehabilitation. Using a mixed-methods and participatory research approach, she collaborates closely with patients, their relatives, and clinicians to ensure relevant and impactful findings.
