Amna Zafar

Biography

Dr Amna Zafar obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from University of Toronto, and Doctor of Medicine degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Michigan, USA. She subsequently completed her Internal Medicine and Cardiology training at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. 

She further went on to complete a T-32 (NIH Funded) Clinical and Research Fellowship in Advanced Cardiac Imaging and Cardio-Oncology, at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School in Boston. She joined the Faculty of Medicine at U of T as an Assistant Professor/Staff Cardiologist at UHN/Sinai in 2024. She has a special clinical and research interest in cardiac imaging, and the cardiovascular care of cancer patients (Cardio-Oncology). One of her main research interests has been 5-Fluorouracil Associated Coronary Vasospasm.
