Aditi Balakrishna

Dr. Balakrishna is an intensivist and anesthesiologist at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she attends in the surgical cardiovascular ICU and serves as an attending on the ECMO transport team. She is also the Associate Program Director of the Anesthesiology Critical Care Medicine fellowship program and the Quality and Patient Safety Director for the Department of Anesthesiology. She completed residency and fellowship training at Massachusetts General Hospital, attended medical school at Yale School of Medicine, and received her undergraduate degree at Harvard College. She is passionate about bringing high quality care to critically ill cardiac surgery patients, including transplant patients and those requiring temporary and durable mechanical circulatory support.
