This issue of Interventional Cardiology Review encompasses a variety of topics: from last frontier interventions such as bioadsorbable scaffold in complex lesions, renal sympathetic denervation and new mitral valve devices, to evergreen topics such as treatment of acute myocardial infarction complicated by cardiogenic shock, hybrid treatment strategies in concurrent coronary and valvular disease, approaches to bifurcation lesions and complex and complicated chronic total occlusion intervention.

All Authors provide excellent "state of art" papers based on an immense personal experience, recognized authority, and critical review of the most recent data from studies.

We hope the readers will find this issue of great interest and as a consequence confirm the mission of the journal as a point of reference in updating on modern interventional cardiovascular medicine.
