Biography

Marco Barbanti is interventional cardiologist A.O.U. Policlinico “G. Rodolico - San Marco”, Catania (Italy). He received his MD from the University of Catania in 2008 and completed his clinical and research fellowship in coronary and structural valve heart disease interventions at the St. Paul’s Hospital, University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. Dr Barbanti is the recipient of the prestigious "Thomas J. Linnemeier Spirit of Interventional Cardiology Young Investigator Award" from the Cardiovascular Research Foundation, which has been delivered to him in 2013 for his distinguished clinical and academic achievements. Dr Barbanti has authored more than 300 publications in the field of transcatheter aortic and mitral valve interventions in all first-tier cardiology journals.

Dr Barbanti is an editorial board member of Interventional Cardiology: Reviews, Research, Resources (ICR3).
